Kayli, pictured above, and I were having lunch last week. Conversation is pretty spiratic, which is one of the things I love most about hanging out with Kayli – I never know what we’re going to talk about next. Last week’s topic was my blog and subject I could write about. After analyzing the world around us (Hey, Reeder…) we came up with the perfect topic for this week’s posts – impracticality.
Everywhere. Impracticality is all around us. From the things we eat to the things we wear, we live in a very impractical world.
Take Kayli, for example.
The backpack she’s pictured with was $60. She tells me she bought it because it looked cute. Despite the fact it’s too tiny to hold her books and her laptop, she loves her backpack. After staring at it for a second, even she admitted is wasn’t a great investment.
I felt bad for Kayli, but it just goes to show you how impractical we are. Kayli didn’t think about the long-term use her bag would get. She went off of, “Oh, that’s cute!”
Think before you shop, guys. If you need help remembering that, be on the look out for my next post – I’ll talk about the impracticality of grocery shopping next time.
